"The host was easy to contact and quick to respond to questions. The location was beautiful with wonderful ocean views. We enjoyed our host who was gracious and kind. The coffee and breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend this location for your stay on Kona. Location is accessible for many excursions or dinner out that evening."
"Perfect location along the beautiful Hamakua Coast! So lush and green. We can not stayed one night but right away I could tell this would be a good place to use as home base for a longer stay. The unit was perfectly appointed and the patio very relaxing with great views. The common area looks excellent, although we didn’t use. Some interesting books I would have liked to sit around and read. Short stay but I liked it. "
"The three of us were very comfortable in suite 1 with the little twin window bed. The sound of the ocean drowned out the songs of the coqui frogs. It was a great location to see the sights on the Hilo side. The breakfast was amazing: fresh fruit, French toast or coconut pancakes, eggs to order, and juice. They have a little cabinet with first aid items and extra sunscreen. The hosts were caring and thoughtful. Would definitely recommend this place!!!"
"The staff were wonderful as usual. The continental breakfast had a good selection of food and beverages. The evening canapés were fine for dinner for us. Having food available in the lounge was convenient and helped us make the most of our days. The beach was also great for stargazing."
"We had the best time staying at Kona Tiki Hotel! We loved hearing the waves crash in at night and the slow-down island vibe of the hotel. Staff was super friendly, room was clean and had everything we needed, took advantage of the beach equipment and book shelf and enjoyed our time on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Awesome place to stay to truly relax on vacation!"

"My wife and I stayed 7 days and it was a great experience. Top notch staff. Accommodations were nothing fancy but who goes to Hawaii to stay in their room. Everything was clean and felt safe. The property was beautiful with breathtaking views of the water and mountains. Just prepare yourself that if you stay in Hilo it will rain a lot, but rain typically passes quickly. At least that was our experience."

"Had an amazing time at this hotel!! Lots to do on the property, loved the pools and the lagoon. My only complaint was that everything opened late and closed very early. For example the pool bar and restaurant was open 11-4pm… while the pool was open until 10 "

"I loved being able to walk everywhere in town, the lagoon pool, being able to go downstairs for dining, the view, the luau, and sleeping like I was inside an ocean sound machine."
"The Staff, the Luau, the location, and view from our balcony were great.
It was noisier than I would have liked with kids in the pool and adults late at night. Also the rules about the daily card/towels were unclear. We were never charged but it was inconvenient to not be able to get towels before 8am and not be able to keep them over night."

"This property is great! Delicious continental breakfast, coffee in room, Hawaiian toiletries. Japanese Garden walking distance! Poke walking distance. Omg forgot to mention the ocean and pier walking distance!! "
