"Perfect location along the beautiful Hamakua Coast! So lush and green. We can not stayed one night but right away I could tell this would be a good place to use as home base for a longer stay. The unit was perfectly appointed and the patio very relaxing with great views. The common area looks excellent, although we didn’t use. Some interesting books I would have liked to sit around and read. Short stay but I liked it. "

"It’s was a beautiful place all around we had a good time. A couple issues were the roaches we kept finding as well as the ants that got into our food. The rooms were hot despite the fan and the a/c being on at times. There was plenty of room with 2 separate rooms and a living room and a dinner table. Being on the third floor had the BEST view it was unfortunate we couldn’t get to it because the golf course but the sunsets were beautiful and picture worthy. It was so quiet and did feel safe to...

"The property is pretty and convenient to a beach. The room and the property itself was clean. The share shelves were a nice touch. The facility is very primitive, meaning there is NO A/C, no staff onsite and no housekeeping. None of these things are bad if it's what you're expecting; however, this listing on Expedia does not mention any of these things, so it was a great disappointment to arrive and find out about the lack of AC and housekeeping. "Great clean quaint lodge. Beautiful outlook in very quiet area. Special touch of fruit and goodies for breakfast and a huge bottle of water daily as water is not potable in the Volcano region. Office located at a nearby store which directions are clearly noted when booking the accommodation. Would definitely stay again. "

"The adorable cottage and delightful, whimsical garden grounds had everything we needed for a romantic and inspiring stay. Host Ira was warm and gracious. Our favorite spot. Wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect retreat gave us easy access to Volcano National Park. "
