"My family and I rented this cottage based on the past reviews and the cottage description. Unfortunately, the cottage was not properly described and was filthy when we arrived. We were assured by the owners that the cottage has been cleaned, but we did send photos of both buildings that proved otherwise. A cleaner was sent a day later but by then, we had already cleaned a bit. The kitchen had a tap that wasn't properly attached, stinky dish cloths, oven mitts with holes, drawers and cupboards...

"We stayed as a family of four with two young children at the end of summer. The property is beautiful and the water very shallow quite a ways out so it was perfect for our 1.5 and 2.5 year olds. They had a blast playing in the water, riding around in the kayak and playing with some beach toys provided. "We had a lovely stay at this cottage. The lake was beautiful. We enjoyed the paddle boat, but no time to canoe this stay. At this time of year there were no neighbours which added to the peace and quiet. We were 15 minutes to Barry's Bay and 6 minutes to Madonna House. The interior was very comfortable from the couch and loveseat to the beds. The appliances worked great and we enjoyed making wings in the Ninja. We didnt get a chance to build a fire in the fire pit.
