"Upon arrival, I won’t lie, I wanted to hate it here. The property is definitely older and not near as beautiful as my AI arrangement last year. The rooms are dated but I figured out quickly, functional and fine. I liked being on the ground floor with my balcony on the pool deck. Quickly loved Roberto at the front desk and once out by the beach bar and beach area…perfection! "Smaller property that is very quiet. Is currently undergoing renovations. Most of the staff have worked there for years and treat you like family. The only improvement I can see would be adding a washer and dryer for those of us who stay a couple of weeks at a time."

"Rooms were comfortable. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Safes in the room was a convienient security feature. Lobby bar had very good drinks and at a reasonable price.. Elevator was very small for a hotel of this size and slow."

""Quirky chic" Hotel is right on the water, great snorkeling and swimming, relaxing pool area, great restaurant. Easy to get a 5 min cab ride to town for activities and other places to eat. Outside of hotel could use a paint job. Rooms are fine, nothing amazing."

"We stayed at the oceanfront room, the ocean view was awesome! The bed was firm and comfortable. Room had a nice layout, it was nice, clean and spacious. The cleaning staff did a great job keeping it tidy and clean. Hot buffet breakfast is included and loved that they offered a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables every morning. All the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful! Room can use more drawers and towel bars/hooks. It would be nice to have lounge chairs in the oceanfront...

"Vista del Mar has become one of our favorite places to stay on the island. The ocean views, busy street with plenty of people to watch makes it a place one is never bored. Close to food and entertainment. Rooms are always clean, and front desk clerks are always super friendly and willing to assist with anything. Beds are harder but comfortable for us. We plan to stay there when we return next year for Carnival."
