« Everything about Kereru Cottage outdid our expectations. Beautifully presented and maintained inside and out with everythjng we could possibly need for our 6 night stay. Appreciated the comfy bed & cotton sheets. The surroundings of native & exotic trees frequented by native birdlife including ruru at night made us forget we were only minutes from a busy motorway. Would thoroughly recommend. »

« The most amazing views! We loved the tiny cottage vibe. Only suggestion would be to put a curtain on the room that opens onto the deck (it’s very bright in the mornings) and to dust the chandeliers as there were cobwebs on them. No Taxis would come down the driveway which was frustrating lugging baggage and escaping the rain. »

« A beautiful location right on the water's edge, perfect for swimming and kayaking. Lovely big lawn for some backyard cricket. Older style lockwood bach which has everything you need. Angela from bachcare is brilliant too. »

« I may have missed it in the description, but this property does NOT have air-conditioning. The house was very stuffy and hot when we arrived, but admittedly cooled off nicely at night. Fans were provided and very necessary. The house was nice and clean, but some appliances were in poor condition or not working. There is a washing machine, but the "dryer" is a set of cloths lines in the back yard! lol I had the impression this property was closer to the beach and maybe even had a nice view, but...

What we expected was a considered, highly thoughtful interior and guest experience. The interior was relatively clean but lacked finesse. The decor was minimal with zero styling. « Great communication with the hosts. This little cottage is an absolute delight for a romantic weekend! It was quiet & private with more than enough provided to ensure a comfy cosy stay. Breakfast included a range of tea & coffee choices along with orange juice, muesli, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt & croissants.
