"It was an absolute blast to stay here. Let's start with improvements and caveats first though. I did feel that it could have used a few more lights at night and while there is a washing machine and dryer, it is outdoors in the open so it may not be the best. However, everything else was EXCELLENT. I chose the cheapest room and it had PLENTY of space similar to my own apartment with a VERY big bathroom. "Traditional rustic standalone house, tatami style with modern trappings. A few other units in the property. Hosts are amazing and sweet, family-run business with a homely feel. They try their best to make the stay comfortable. A lot of space for the kids to run around. We booked a pit and bought pre-packed meat for easy outdoor bbq. I think taller guests would find house difficult to move around because of the beams but no problem for us. "

"The place is very quiet. I initially wanted to hike the Jomon Sugi trail, but with limited time and insufficient preparation, it wasn't possible. However, Kentaro was so very helpful in suggesting an alternative trekking itinerary. Hopefully I wasn't too annoying with my endless questions :)"

"Friendly stuff and great location.Beautiful beaches are in walking distance. One closest is only a minute away by flipflap walk. We enjoyed snorkeling there on the first day arrived. The water was amazingly clear and there were full of colorful fish. We even saw a turtle swimming by. If you are interested in tasting a bit of island life and enjoying scuba diving/snorkeling, staying Seasir Akajima is recommended. "
