"This is a beautiful hotel, with charming, attentive staff. The room ( river facing with balcony)was very clean, extremely comfortable beds with a turn down service in the evening. The bathroom was large, great shower and Jo Malone toiletries. Service in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was excellent, every time. It's about a 40 minute walk into Porto which is pleasant on a sunny day and mainly flat. The hotel provides a free taxi boat service to Porto which is a lovely way to travel...

"This was a really nice hotel and an excellent location. We could not have asked for a better location for our stay. We were right on the water and had a balcony overlooking the river. It was also right next to the water taxi, which takes you across the river to the Gaia area. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful. The room is on the older side, but the bed was super comfortable and everything was clean and convenient. I recommend this hotel. "
