Positive: Great Location. but, wifi service is terrible. How is possible a six floor Hotel can’t afford high quality wireless routers? During our 3 nights stay in the sixth floor, we only had wifi a few minutes a day, we had to go to reception or commercial locals around to search for wifi. They said they would fix it but never happened how is this possible if most of their clients are foreign people that need wifi? Also they don’t do room service unless you stay more than 4 nights. We had to ask for toilet paper and change of towels in the front desk.

The walls are thin and the family room next door to mine was being used by a group of young people who were up until 4am after a night out in Manchester. Staff did tell them to be quiet, at my request, but be aware that this is a busy central hotel. The bathroom shower did not work ( bathrooms are very basic). Rooms were also unheated. While this is one of the more budget hotels, I felt it was over priced and felt more like a hostel.

This Hotel was a great hotel a few years ago and we always enjoyed our time there.On this visit I was surprised to find a lot of the little extras such as Tissue’s, Shower gels,just the little extras that made it special.The Hotel just needs updating and it will be the perfect place to visit for its so central to the centre of town and the main Train Station.

Fab location and excellent value for money. Close to the station and centre of city. Hotel is dated but for the price and amount of time spent there, it wasn’t a problem The room temperature was volcanic (we stayed in Dec!) and the air con only kicked out warm air which made getting ready a sweaty challenge! Our sink was as cracked too but otherwise I would stay here again if in the city for a show or gig.

Hotel is great if you're attending a concert or something for a one night stay. I stayed in the cheapest room I could possibly get and it was fine, my only complaint was that the room was very hot and the air con didn't seem to have much effect. But in winter it's not much of a problem Would definitely stay again
