"We had a wonderful stay in this lovely historical home. A nice retreat between wedding events we were in Waxahachie to attend. Katherine was a wonderful host, check in was easy and we had everything we needed to make it a great stay."

The firepit was wonderful for family time! The neighboring homes are not in great shape, but I felt safe and secure on the property!"

The back patio over looking the lake was very relaxing for morning coffee and late in the afternoon for down time. The boys enjoyed fishing off the pier. Plenty of room inside for everyone. And so quiet at night, we all slept well. "

"We had a wonderful time here with our family! There were 8 adults and 7 children (almost 3 - 9). One of our families could only come for the day, but we had planned on them staying (2 adults, 3 children ages 1-5). There would have been plenty of room for all! The house is very nice, had everything we needed, and was very clean. Adults and kids enjoyed the hot tub, even in Dec - Jan! (Adults at 11 pm and kids during the day!) We also enjoyed the fire pit on New Year's Eve! The balconies were fun...

"Even for our mostly adult group the shuffleboard and ping pong got the most use. The house itself has its quirks and all but couldn't picture a better place for a large group to all stay together. Kitchen was great to have plenty of ovens and tables space."

"Everything was perfect with one exception. For future guests, instructions regarding the gas oven would be helpful. We were unable to bake the breakfast casserole we had prepared because despite making the required setting adjustments (temperature, time, etc.), the oven never came on at all."

"The house was large enough for all the children and grandchildren to have their own space. The grounds are wonderful! The kids enjoyed the basketball court, yard and driveway. The back porch comfy with beautiful lake views. Great communication with Jeff! "

"House was fine, some good some so so. Very clean, nice place but "lake view" ... technically correct but yeah not so much. And it' in a well... interesting neighborhood. But my real review is why YOU SHOULD NEVER STAY AT THIS OR ANY OTHER VACASA MANAGED PROPERTY. I have been so bombared by marketing from them both before and after stay ill never use another VRBO run by them, and sadly they run a lot. And contacting them so they stop bothering does nothing. So here is the review you begges me for...

"We spent a week fishing at Lake Whitney and this place was very convenient , clean and comfortable . Access to Cedron Park boat ramp was excellent . "

"The property was more impressive in person than in the pictures. Seven adults slept comfortably, cooked, and had family dinners at the table. We loved being able to drive into Waco to go shopping and enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night. The waterfront was refreshing for someone who lives in West Texas!"
