"I had a comfortable stay at Sunbird Capital. Although the rooms are quite old, they are well maintained. The grounds are very well maintained and beautiful, it was a delight to have my evening walks. The hotel is in a safe part of the city so it was easy to have walks and jogs nearby the hotel. I may not have enjoyed the meals for the most part, but the traditional lunch buffet on Thursdays was excellent."

"Always a great stay at Woolands! Location, food and service are perfect every time. Even had a few “bush buck” come around the chalet for feeding along with the monkeys. Like a safari in town! "

"The Sunbird Lilongwe is a very nice place to stay when traveling. The staff if all amazing - very helpful and accomodating. Yasmin in the restaurant was great at serving our table. The one problem was the Wifi. It would not stay connected and we constantly had to log in. Also turn down service was hit or miss. Some nights we had it some nights we didn't. There was also a beautiful pool and nice fitness center. Overall we would definitely stay again!"

"Staff and lodging is good, ac works. The pool was not filled upon our arrival. Don’t buy anything from the vendors on the beach they will overcharge you by insane amounts. Walk down to the other vendors and shops for better deals. "

"Stayed here for one night , it was hot season and the rooms were very stuffy air con was effective and room was tired with old windows and broken toilet and sink. Staff were extremely helpful and made up for the difference."

"I had a wonderful 2 nights at blue zebra and wished I could have stayed longer. I was slightly concerned on booking about getting there as there wasn't much info on the website, but as soon as I confirmed my booking with ebookers the hotel was in touch to tel me everything I needed - including details on drivers from Lilongwe and how I could book a boat time to suit my arrival (at an extra cost which was very clear and totally worth it for an extra night). "It’s near everything you need for a one or two night stay. It is an older place and could use some updating. Poor WiFi and poor air conditioner. I asked to be moved from the first room and the second wasn’t much better. What keeps me coming back is the location, the staff and the food. Especially the breakfast which is worth every penny. See you again soon. "
