"The Gite du Capitaine is in a small village in the countryside. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast and dinner provided was good. The room and facilities were excellent. The house is rustic and full of antique furniture in great condition. "
"A very pleasant B&B in Champagne region of France. The property was clean and the host welcoming. Very quiet village, with no restaurant or bars, and we weren't aware the host would cook meals on request. Our only complaints were not being able to eat in our room and new towels are required! Otherwise very pleasant stay."
"Associated with a unique factory making artificial flowers for renowned fashion labels. Ancient factory still as it was when built in 1903, using its own water driven machines and electricity generator. A tour was included during our stay.
Although somewhat isolated, access to restaurant services available within 10 to 15 minutes by driving to the external road, outside the boundary fence, of a motorway service area and passing through a pedestrian gate to shop as required. "
"The reception was poorly manned and very slow, we were seen but ignored at first. We were unable to get breakfast before 08:00, but we need to leave before that and they would not help us at all. Getting out of the grounds before then was very difficlut."
"What a stunning hotel. It's like being in a film set. An authentic Chateau with bundles of charm. The people on site are exceptional nothing is a problem. You're welcomed by the most friendly of receptionists. Dining exquisite. If you have a dog they treat them like family. Highly recommended. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay. We'll be back.

"The staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Though I had booked a double room I was given two singles but, only because the key given was incorrect ( easy to confuse a 6 & 9!) but it was no issue for me, I should have questioned it but with two dogs in hand easier to just settle in the first room!
We were late yet they still gave us a table in the restaurant, and OMG the food was amazing. Next day breakfast delicious, loads of home made...

"Perfect location in a quiet village a short distance from Chaumont. Very comfortable accommodation in a quaint traditionally French hotel and a very good host. The continental breakfast was excellent with homemade jams and good bread and croissants. Over all, a great place to stay."

"We had a lovely week here in August. The pool was great for the kids and the peace, quiet and lovely wine was great for the adults.
The village is a nice setting and also very quiet this time of year but the local town of Bar-sur-Aube had everything we needed.
Location is great with the theme park of Nigloland just 15 minutes away and the wonderful town of Troyes also near for a change of scenery. The lakes were just 30mins away too and made a great beach day out.
Finally, the champagne was very nice, of course and was the icing on the cake."
