Wanted to like it more
It was July 4th weekend, and this is Depew. Our options were limited, but even being a holiday weekend I was shocked and dismayed at what little we were able to get for the price.
Things that are outside the owner's control, but we wish we had known about:
1) This unit shares a very thin wall with the neighboring unit, which has a dog that barks when its owners aren't home.
2) It is extremely close to a very active rail line with traffic all day and night.
Things that the owner could (and should) change:
1) The two queen beds are comfortable. The king bed is extremely uncomfortable. It is like laying directly on the mattress coils. After the first night I found a blanket to put under myself and that provided a little help.
2) The bathroom was very dirty. There were two half-used bars of soap in the tub, hair in the tub, and mold all along the gap between the walls and tub.
3) The kitchen had a single thing that we could use to cook with - one pot with a lid. When it came time to hand-wash the dishes (no dishwasher), there was a single well-used sponge in the sink that we could use. I opted to use dish soap and my hand to clean everything rather than risk spreading loads of bacteria to the next guest.
This unit was extremely bare-bones, so just be aware of that. We were at a family reunion, so we were here literally just to sleep and take showers. With the extremely dirty bathroom and the uncomfortable king bed, it really didn't even serve those purposes well.
