We booked this resort to celebrate a friends birthday. Upon arrival we noticed that half of the resort was under construction. It wasn’t a huge deal because we didn’t hear any work being done during our stay. But it did seem to have a big impact on the amount of people that were there as it did not feel very busy at all. Despite not being busy, it was very hard to get reservations for the restaurants we wanted to, but my biggest complaint is how the staff handled a reservation that we did have. We booked the Italian restaurant to celebrate my friends birthday for a 9:00 reservation and received a phone call at 8:00 stating that the restaurant was closed due to the election. We were in our rooms since 3pm and they hadn’t tried to contact us earlier so we could make alternate plans. During our 4 nights here we unfortunately ate in the buffet for every meal except one as there weren’t other options. The buffet had no AC and food that looked like it had been sitting out all day. Our room was fine but the bathroom is in need of an update as the shower and tub both seemed old and a bit dirty. Our AC worked well in our room but the ac in our friend’s room barely worked to cool the room off. Overall the resort is probably fine if you have kids as it seems like there was a lot for the kids, but as an adults trip I think there are better options.

Air conditioning did no work on bedroom, i got switch to another bedroom after 2 days of complaining to find out toilet was damage on the second bedroom, The food at the buffet was not great, and it was just ok at the specialty restaurant, but you have to do reservations for those, and to top my poor experience they cancel the last dinner . Definitely I won’t go again to this place , needs too many improvements

Room air conditioner did not work properly. We called for repair and the technicians came to our room but instead of fixing it got worse. I felt desperate. I wanted to cry and go home. We were not able to sleep well during our stay. They were also too loud in the rooms next to us.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We loved Cecilio and Luigi at archery and the bike tour, they are absolute gems and some of the best experiences we had. The bike tour was our favorite activity. There is a ton of walking back and forth on the property, we're a very active family but it's a lot of walking to and from and from and becomes tedious when you just want to relax. The buffet wasn't great and most of the food was bland, but the restaurants were excellent. The pools are gorgeous and the kids loved the lazy river. The biggest downside to our trip was attending their "time share" presentation. They refer to it as their ultimate luxury club but it's just like any time share presentation. It was absolutely horrible, we felt not only pressured but felt like we had gotten staff in trouble when we clearly stated repeatedly we were not interested. It was a very uncomfortable situation feeling like you're getting staff in trouble who have been nothing but kind to you, because you're not interested in spending $5-30k for a vacation package. Whatever you do avoid this at all costs. The property is being renovated which didn't bother us at all, but it was perfect at half capacity. We would most likely go back again.

The resort is currently under construction, but don't let that deter you. The property is very well maintained and the staff are very helpful and attentive. The map of the property makes it look immense, but it is very walkable. There are also shuttles to take you anywhere on the property. The pools and lazy river were great. Our concierge team of Flores, Isaac, Leo and Fernando were amazing. They helped with dinner reservations, transport, room serevice, basically everything and anything we needed and made our vacation memorable. There are a variety of specialty restaurants for dinner, but reservations fill up fast. Make sure to see you concierge asap to plan your stay. There are also themed buffets each night, which were also a great option. We plan on returning to the resort again to see how all the renovations turn out. Thanks Grand Sirenis for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation!

Service was lackluster at best. There were a few individuals that were great like the bellboy and some servers but for the most part the check in and most other service personnel were rude or unwilling to help. The facility does not offer the activities and amenities you’d expect but to their defense they are doing some construction. The beach is deserted since there is nothing but rocks and seaweed. They tried to cut the pool to close at 6pm when it actually closes at 7pm which is still early. The buffet is good but the restaurants are super hard to reserve even though they are empty. The first restaurant we were finally able to reserve took a hour to get us our food and then another 45 minutes for desert. Many other tables left unsatisfied. This is not the service you expect to get.
