« Lovely hotel near the centre of Keswick and not too far from the lake. We booked a lake view, the room was comfortable and warm. The room comes with a good breakfast to start your day. Parking is a bonus, we had to pay for this as we had not booked direct with the hotel. You can park for free out the front of the hotel if you are lucky to get a space. Staff are polite and friendly. Great weekend, thank you. »

L'insonorisation est POURRIE (style feuille de carton) et les deux nuits nous sommes en plus tombé sur des fêtards qui profitent du fait qu'il n'y a pas d'employé la nuit pour se promener partout dans le lobby et corridor en faisant claquer les portes. Le matelas serait dû pour être changé, on ressentait tous les ressorts.. Bref, le seul point positif est le magnifique paysage entourant le lodge et le très bon petit-déjeuner (par contre on doit payer, non inclus). »

« We thought the hosts were really lovely and the location of the guesthouse was ideal for us for walking. There are two pubs within walking distance which serve fantastic food: Coledale inn and Royal Oak. However, we had a downstairs room and seemed to have been really unlucky with the guests upstairs who woke us up every hour during the night. Thankfully, we were only staying a couple of nights as we were absolutely exhausted by the end. Would recommend a stay, just maybe ask for an upstairs...

« It was clean and well presented, the owners were very friendly and helpful, the room was warm and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, fairly spacious with a most excellent shower. We missed breakfast the first morning due to taking part in an event, but found they had left us some bananas and apples for us. We had the full breakfast the next day which was spot on. And they have their own parking spots for 4 cars! Definitely will use again , as we had a lovely stay. »

« Myself and my young Cavapoo, Rose have just stayed for 2 nights. It was not in the centre of town but only a 10 min walk from the centre. The view of Latrigg from my bedroom window was amazing. Lorna is so welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. There is also all the little touches in the room like cotton pads, refreshments etc. Great for a solo traveller & her best friend. Would highly, highly recommend staying here. Thank you for such a lovely time. »

« Room 2 is cozy and comfortable. Both room and ensuite were very clean and welcoming. Breakfast is cooked to order and our hosts were very friendly and informative. We got a chance to join in the feeding of the owls, visit the rabbit hutch, talk with the parrot and pet the dogs. The place is a little sanctuary for animals of all types. Petit déjeuné très correcte. Acceuil chaleureux avec pleins de conseils pour visiter la région ou pour trouver un restaurant. On peut comparer la chambre à une chambre d'un hotel 4*. Une des meilleures chambres d'hotes lors de notre voyage. Allez y les yeux fermés. »

« Spent a week there with family and dogs. Very clean and everything you could need The views are beautiful. One thing to note, if you take a dog make sure you have long leads and a torch, as nowhere enclosed to let them off before bed or first thing. Both bathrooms are en-suite as well as opening to the corridor which was a peek we didn’t expect. The perfect place for a relaxing family trip and highly recommend. »
