This seaside village offers enchantment with its nautical and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Enjoy historic architecture, waterfront restaurants and charter fishing.

Port Credit is a seaside village and Mississauga’s cultural and entertainment district. It is one of the oldest settlements in Ontario and combines the charm of a historic town with the sophistication of a city. Enjoy renowned restaurants and boutique shopping or explore the waterfront and head out on the lake in a charter boat.

Located next to Lake Ontario, Port Credit has views of the water and is surrounded by greenery and parks. Much of the architecture dates back to the 19th and early 20th centuries and has a nautical look. Many of these buildings were built by the mariners, fishermen, sailors and tradesmen who made their living on the water.

Walk through Old Port Credit Village, an official Ontario Heritage district, and admire the historic buildings. Stroll along the Waterfront Trail, Credit Village Marina and Lakefront Promenade Marina. Pick up some fish and chips, sit by the lake and watch the boats bobbing in the water.

Port Credit is known as the salmon capital of Ontario. Fish for Chinook salmon, rainbow trout, coho salmon, Atlantic salmon and brown trout with one of the largest charter boat fleets on Lake Ontario.

Find plenty of things to do in town. Shop in boutiques and retail stores, join a community event or see a performance on the port or in the city center. Dress up and dine in style on the waterfront as the sun goes down. Listen to a live band in a portside bar.

The marina is minutes away from Port Credit Village. Nearby accommodation options suit any budget. Stay in the heart of the town for easy access to all attractions or along the waterfront for marina views.

Drive to Port Credit in 15 minutes from the center of Mississauga or take a 40-minute ride by public transportation. The village is easy to negotiate and has a comprehensive network of bus routes and walking and bike trails.
