"As an American that spoke NO Portuguese, my stay was still amazing. Everything from the menus to the documents in the rooms were in both Portuguese and English. The only thing in the room that was not both was the book that explains the services at the hotel. But honestly, that was minor as i could easily translate the pages with my phone. "Solid property. Dated in some regards, but solid nonetheless. Modest gym and spa. Roof top pool was good. Room was good . Had a connecting suite for the kids that worked out great. Breakfast included was worth it. No surprise but we were not near Copacabana or Ipanmema, so the daily 40 to 1hr uber to site see was a bit much, but again expected. "The staff is friendly and everything is clean. Breakfast isn’t cheap, but it’s very good. However, the overall condition of the hotel raises some concerns. I remember it opening just a few years ago, and given its location and style, I imagine it must be extremely expensive and challenging to maintain.
