« Likes: Beautifully appointed, large, clean rooms. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Excellent location, easy walking distance to downtown. On-site bike rentals with discount for guests. Caution: Depending on which building you're in, there may be a difficult steep uphill walk to the building itself, or on stairs within the building, requiring a good level of fitness and no disabilities. Advise discussing this with the property before confirming reservation. »

« Staff was amazing, beds were super comfortable, great breakfast. Very much enjoyed the beautiful front porch. Ferry personnel did not come in time for our luggage to be brought to the boat, so staff at Metivier Inn brought it themselves. Very impressed with how they went out of their way so things went smoothly for us. »

« We really like this hotel, it's in the heart of downtown Mackinac Island, so it was the perfect place to regroup between biking around the island, shopping or going out to eat. Our view wasn't the greatest, as we had a room that looked out over an alley and nearby houses, but we weren't in the room that much that it made a big difference. The price was reasonable which was an added bonus. »
