"Good hotel. Bigger rooms overlook the railway line so the room was a bit on the small side but my choice as didn’t want noise of trains. You have to pay for pool but this does mean it isn’t busy, shame only available after 1.30."

"This was my second time at this property. I love that it has a public bath and is the reason I stopped again in Kyoto on my way to Tokyo. The room has everything that I needed. It’s a short walk from the Kyoto train station which has everything imaginable. Shops, restaurants, name it. The Japanese outdid themselves with that station. I got lost several times because it is so big. The staff are great as it appears to be at most Japanese establishments. I hope to come back again."

"The staff were very polite, more formal than others but helpful enough when asked. A bit further from the traditional area than I thought it would be, still recommended though. "

"The rooms were on the small side but the twin room had much more space over the queen. Would recommend paying the extra. Overall the hotel was in a good location and was clean & tidy. "

"A really beautiful room with a view to match. This room had everything we needed for a comfortable three night stay. The location was good, but if you want to be close to ‘the action’ you may want to find a place closer, as it was either a 30 minute walk into the centre or a metro ride in. One thing I really appreciated in the room was the bathroom mirror - it has excellent lighting, and made it a pleasure to do my makeup. The Phillips hairdryer was also a pleasure to use!"
