"They treated me like a princess in this Solo trip. I loved it and will come back for sure. I do recommend paying for the sun club so you can be away from kids if desired. Pizza parlor opens until 1am so you can avoid the crowd and have a quiet dinner with the workers who are always friendly. Loved this place. "

"One of the best beaches around - upgraded room and had a really nice experience. Staff are very friendly and relaxed. There are times when you want a drink or a plate cleared but you are on vacation so should chill :) if you have small kids (under 3) - we do - there’s no French restaurant access because kids club does not take them. We’ve been to a few Dreams elsewhere and there tend to be more kid activities in and around the pool rather than just kids club. We wanted a family vacation together and were ok with that but advising for other families with young kids. Overall we leave tanned, relaxed (as you can be with 2 and 7 year old kids), and with great memories. "

"Check in was delayed with little feedback. There was a fire on night nearby that made the room smell like smoke all night. Burned eyes not pleasant at all. Beautiful facility. "

"I stayed at Adult only side. Property was well maintained,clean in every area. Staffs were very polite,warm & accommodating in every section. Food was excellent at the buffet as well as a la carte restaurants, specially at Beloved restaurant, superb dishes & service. Beach was kept clean daily by ground staffs & multiple staffs from cafes on the beach delivered drinks,water to guests with amazing manner. I've been going to this area for over a decade in different hotels but Catalonia Royal is by far better than any others, even better than much higher cost place like Hilton La romana. Looking forward to going back soon. "

"The property was great Fabio and his family were excellent. It is a little far away from anything and cabs are hard to get but I really didn’t try that hard. I found that if I walked to the road there was always someone eating to give me a ride into town on the back of a motorcycle for 200 pesos. Very good value and relaxing cabins are really cool. I enjoyed myself. If you want a nice relaxing time it’s the place if you like to party then it is not a good match. I recommend it for sure. "
