Romantic Cottage directly on private Double Bay Beach, Bahamas, "Senza Nome"

Double Bay beach cottage is right on the dune, just steps away from the water. Built in the 1940s, it was the very first structure on Double Bay. The porch provides lovely views up and down the beach. A great place to read, have lunch or relax with a rum punch.
The cottage consists of a living room with kitchenette; a bedroom with a queen size bed, bureau and a nook with shelves, hanging rod and hooks; and a small bathroom with shower. There's also an outdoor shower at the back door, thatched Bahamian style.

Incredible Paradise
1952 Cottage that had everything you could possibly want. The view is spectacular - you can't get much closer to the beach than this place. We love love love staying here and will be back again next year for our third stay.

Excellent location!
You can't get closer to the beach than this cottage. From the porch facing the waves, there is total privacy. The mid-Eleuthera location makes everything easy to get to. Ten Bays beach is 5 minutes away.

Perfect getaway
The location of this little cottage could not have been more perfect. We checked out several other beaches on the island and honestly felt like this was the best! The house is nothing fancy but had everything we needed and was perfect for us. It is a clean, quaint little cottage with a beautiful view of the beach right out the back door. Will definitely be back.

My husband and I loved our stay at Senza Nome, right on a beautiful blue ocean. Everything you need if you decide to cook meals at cottage. Ten bay beach 10 mins away is calm and shallow water and you can walk out along way. Many places to eat close by, great food. We can't wait to visit again!

Ideal Beach Cottage
This is what we have been searching for our whole lives. Rustic, clean, comfortable, well appointed cottage directly on secluded beach. Miles of sand framing azure waters. Grounds are a botanical garden of hundreds of palms. Private setting on a good road convenient to local shops & Gov Harbor. We will be a back for a much longer stay.

We had the best time staying at Senza Nome while attending a wedding at a venue just down the beach. Our favorite part of every day was opening the back door and spending our time right on the amazing beach. The accommodations were simple but perfect for what we needed as we spent all of our time out on adventures or on the beach.

Incredible - like a dream come true
A rustic, comfortable cabin with nothing in front of you except for the beautiful Atlantic ocean. The cabin had everything we could possible ask for - comfortable bed, outdoor shower and amazing hosts. We missed everything and everyone the minute we drove away. We will definitely be back again.

Great cabin, great location! Beautiful, quiet beach!
My wife and I stayed 3 nights in the cabin and had a very nice time. The cabin is very nicely put together and a great location to be in. Right on the beach - only saw 3-5 other people / day on the beach! The only downside to the cabin was no air conditioning which was fine with a breeze but when the breeze stopped we had a few no-see-um (biting bugs) issues one night. The Kitchen worked out very well for breakfasts and there were plenty of restaurants within a 10 min (or so) drive.

Perfect!!!
Long story short- I booked this property for next year while sitting on the front porch-that's how incredible it was. It is very quaint and relaxing. Long beach (great for walking) sunrise each morning on the beach with my coffee was the best. Hardly any people around, which I found restful. I am not sure how it could be more perfect.

Perfect!
We had another amazing stay at this amazing cozy cottage! Words can't describe how much we love this place! The cottage is lovely ~ has everything you need, super clean, comfortable, and private. It's conveniently located to explore the island & nearby to excellent grocery options. The Senza Nome property is beautiful & well maintained & Double Bay beach is perfection. This visit, we had the opportunity to meet the owners - they were so kind & welcoming. We have fallen in love with Eleuthera & while we have stayed at other properties/ areas on the island ~ once we found this perfect cottage ~ there's no other place we would rather stay. We're already planning our next trip & can't wait to return. Thank you!

5 star Cottage
We LOVED the cottage and plan on coming again next year. This is an ideal spot for a quiet vacation. Plenty of towels, clean. Tiny bathroom and kitchen (no freezer). Never used AC. We hope that it continues to stay a "cotttage", very rare that something like this hasn't been transformed into a "house". The main house on the property is set back from the cottage, you don't even see it from the cottage. The information the owner gave us ahead of time was very helpful and much appreciated. Having the phone for local calls was great for making reservations. Perfect vacation spot for us. Bring a soft cooler if you have one.

Senza Nome is a quaint, one bedroom cottage located on Double Bay Beach in Eleuthera. The front porch is an ideal place to watch sunrises over the ocean and you can walk a few steps to the beach to view sunsets over the land. We really enjoyed the peacefulness of the pink sand beach as we rarely saw more than one or two people a day walk by. High tide had great waves, and once the tide turned, you could float on a noodle in the crystal teal water for hours! We had a breeze almost every day, so the bugs were not bad at all! The cottage was equipped with everything we needed for a two week stay. We took advantage of the outdoor shower and the AC worked wonderfully! Clarice is a fantastic caretaker and cooked a wonderful meal for us. Lisa is a great host who worked with us when our flights had to change due to weather. We’re already saving money for another visit!

Location, location, location!
We have visited Eleuthera many times and love the island! This was our first stay on this side of Double Bay and WOW! The beach is beautiful and very private with incredible snorkeling along the entire stretch. The house was spotless and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. All properties were rented out during our stay, but we still had all the privacy we wanted! Loved the charm and history of the place and the central location made shopping, dining, and sightseeing easy. The AC worked great and the bed was super comfy!

Loved our stay at Senza Nome! Steps away from the ocean and the view from the porch was fabulous! Enjoyed chilling on the porch listening to the ocean. The beach cottage was adorable. La "Cabane du Pêcheur" au bord de l'Océan
Magnifique emplacement pour profiter de l'Océan en descendant de la terrasse directement sur la plage et de la Mer (en voiture à environs deux km). Très bien située aussi pour visiter cette magnifique ile d'une beauté époustouflante en partant aussi bien vers le nord que vers le sud. Par son simplicité, "Senza Nome" est un témoin d'authenticité, unique à Eleuthera, et pour pouvoir y rêver il va falloir le mériter ... Room with a View
This was our sixth trip to the island and this cottage hands down has the best view of anywhere we have stayed! We love the Double Bay Area and this time there was such a good breeze that we were able to enjoy sitting outside on the porch in the evenings. We spent two weeks at the cottage and can’t wait to return! The cottage is small but perfect for a couple and it had everything we needed to cook meals. The caretaker Clarice was very helpful and the Gardner was so nice and appreciative of some ice and cold sodas when he came to work. If you are thinking about booking this property go ahead and do it! Also if you are hesitant to book based upon the fact that there are two other rentals on the property I say don’t let that hold you back. Both the main house and apartment were rented for most of our stay but we rarely saw those folks. If you book the cottage please pick up some kitty kibbles for the sweet island cats who like to hang out and be loved on!
