"Very accommodating. Our flight arrived at 11 PM and we didn't get to the hotel until nearly 1 the next morning. They checked us in without issue. They also allowed us to buy one more night when we decided that we needed a little more time.
The floor was very dirty. Like most people in Laos, they don't know how to properly clean a floor. The window leaked when it rained, so the hall floor was wet.

"Super clean, friendly staffs, plus transportation to the airport is plus for me. The breakfast was good. If they have more tradition food would be amazing.
My only complain is the bed. If the bed is softer. I would be my top notch for Lao hotel. And throw in the sheet would be other point for me. We stayed for 9 days and never has any noise issue. On the hot day in Vientiane, always look forward AC room.

"its a clean big room. Good in general .
but the swimming pool feel like you swim on the street because there is a direct access to the peoples from the street to the Swimming pool . no need to pass through hotel entrance .
but even though i accepted , on the second day the swimming pool was closed .
and I paid for Deluxe room with Sofa and i got a Business room without Sofa .
no refund and i discovered that both have same price while Expedia charge one dollar more for deluxe .

"Stayed for 4 nights. Very relaxed and chilled space away from the hustle and bustle. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Pool is great and very clean. The rooms are dated and could use a touch up but the wooden floors add to the authentic not a chain hotel. Breakfast is a set menu that has 3 options you select in the morning - you can ask for more toast & spreads and hot drinks. 2 western options and 1 Lao option. We had an upstairs room with balcony on the right side of the restaurant which...
"Everything was nice and clean, however, an elevator would've been nice. My room was on the third floor and I had to carry my luggage two flight of stairs. Breakfast was limited but wasn't bad. Would recommend. "
"Internet was down and the manager mr pone. Got me a SIM card to fix this problem for the entire trip due to that. This us very rare to find a manager to fix things like this on the spot."
"Property and staff were very good. One concern was that the music from a bar or karaoke in the property was very loud late into the night. Unacceptable!"
"I highly recommend the Holiday Inn Vientiane— it’s by far the best one I’ve stayed at! The hotel is new and very clean, the staff is quick and efficient, and room service was great. The beds and pillows were super comfortable, making for a restful stay. The gym, sauna, and steam room were a much-needed bonus. I’d definitely come back!"
"My room was clean and spacious and everything was in good repair. Nice pool, which almost no one used during my stay. The only real drawback as that the breakfast buffet (included) is mediocre. Food was not kept warm. Coffee (which is good in Laos) was Nescafe instant with no milk or cream provided, just sugar. They tend to run out of food. "

"We left the Amari shaking our heads... On one hand, it probably is the nicest hotel in Vientiane, staff always smile and greet you, and the value for money was great.
On the other hand... MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT IN TRAINING ARE NEEDED! Before even arriving - I would have cancelled this booking if it had been refundable because my email correspondence with the hotel manager was SO BAD. I emailed asking for help booking the Laos-China high-speed train from Vientiane to Luang Prabang and was immediately told "no". I had to write again explaining that I cannot book it online and every other 4-5 star hotel I've ever stayed at in my life has helped with transport/transfer as a standard part of concierge services (have lived in SEAsia for 15 years and found Thai hotels to generally be amazing). Again, I was told "no, we don't do this" and bizarrely given a "Facebook" link and told it was the "official site"?! It absolutely is not. I was given incorrect information and refused any assistance. I asked to connect with the hotel manager and my experience was just as poor and frustrating - they failed to give any relevant and important information and refused to help. I would have cancelled at this point had I booked a refundable room.
For anyone reading this far wanting to book the Lao Bao 2-hour train, in some regions, you can download the app to book *only* 3 days ahead.
Staff lacked knowledge and training in all areas. They also couldn't confirm train station address for taxi. "

"The place is well maintained and clean. The staff are helpful and willing to help. It’s quiet and I love everything about this place. I highly recommend this hotel. The laundry upstairs is also a plus. You get credit for snacks as well. Best hotel in Vientiane for sure! "
