The location is just beyond the rougher area around East Hastings but was very convenient to access all the areas we wanted to see by Uber. Location was okay - you need to have a car. However, this place desperately needed a deep clean. Surfaces were superficially clean - but linens/towels were smelly. There were boogers on the wall! The location was convenient and close enough to the venue for us. The property was clean and it was always nice to come back to after a long day in the sun. There were plenty of cookware and utensils for our group. The view was amazing! The only thing was the noise from the train that would pass through at night, but you can't really control that. Hosts were accommodating and easy to get in touch with. The neighbourhood offers good eats a short walk away, and bus stops steps from the building. I found walking westward was not for us, given the situation in the Downtown East Side, but owners did provide info on this in the binder. Finally, there was no mention of a train running directly behind the building, but I highly recommend earbuds as it made a huge difference in sleep quality.
