"The cottage was clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, We really enjoyed and made good use of the fire pit. It was all set up and ready to light. Southwest Harbor is my favorite place to stay on the island. It is much less touristy than Bar Harbor but still has some good dining options as well as a nice coffee shop. We had a great stay."

"We really enjoyed our 4-night stay at Loon Song Cottage. The cottage has a screened front porch, which you don't see often in vacation rentals. (So many times I have wished that we could keep the front door open, but can't without a screen.) The cottage is nice and new, and very clean. "We had a wonderful stay at the Poet's cabin. It is a nice little place for visiting the Acadia National Park area. It also has a very good sitting area outside and the hosts are very helpful and welcoming! The only issue is that the door opening to the bathroom is very low (I'm 6'2 and hit my head multiple times on the top of the door frame), and the shower is very small. The home is exactly as advertised and a great place to stay, but wanted any other "taller" people to be aware before booking."

"What a wonderful stay! The cabins are new, well thought out, and equipped with everything you need including laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Sitting out on the screened porch in the comfy cushioned chairs was a favorite after our day’s activities. Very quiet and serene away from all the touristy stuff. Highly recommend staying here!"

"We were fortunate to be able to stay at The Nub again this year, and it remains our favorite place to stay. Spending days hiking the mountains of Acadia and returning to The Nub at night is incredibly restorative. Angela is a great host, receptive to all of our needs, even those we didn't know we had! We didn’t plan or pack for any rain but when it poured for a solid day, we were thankful for the cabin’s shelter and wifi and umbrella when we went out. "This was a great place to stay for our little family while visiting the Bar Harbor/ Acadia area. The cabin was comfy and more than enough room for a family of 3. Everything was stocked well, very clean and well thought through with renters in mind. Both Bar Harbor and Acadia were about 10 minutes away and easy to get in and out of. The hike from the cabin was a perfect way to go see the sunset. Would absolutely stay again if we are in the area! "

"Motel is a cute older-style motel with no-frills rooms. Rooms are safe, clean, comfortable, and good sized! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with recommendations around town. Where this property really shines is location! Minute’s walk to everything in town, it’s hard to beat this location, especially for the price."

"This hotel is in the perfect location to experience Bar Harbor. It is an older hotel so the rooms are very small and the bathrooms are like closets. They offered a breakfast service, but it wasn't really a restaurant setting. Staff was superb! And, again, the location can't be beat!"

Incredible customer service that served-us!!!

"Guess what? I literally never stayed in the hotel. I didn't even breathe any of the atmosphere that was anywhere close to the hotel. Why the five stars? Because the customer service from Christopher at the front desk was the most top notch intergalactic experience from a place that I literally never stayed.. For circumstances beyond anyone's ability to control, my friend and I had to turn around before we even reached Bar Harbor. I spoke to Christopher about our plight and the way he handled everything was nothing short then some kind of a Greg Luganis super dive. Perfect 10! Not only was he kind, reasonable and treated me like his favorite cast member in The facts of Life, he gave us great advice for which we were deeply appreciative. I will be visiting Acadia National Park at some point as my schedule permits and all the reels on Insta couldn't distract me away from staying where Christopher and his lovely manager works. Ku-flippin-do's Bar Harbor Inn! My absolutely favorite place I've never stayed."
