"Lovely place to stay, wasn’t happy with paying £10 each to use the swimming pool when we had already paid to stay the night. Otherwise the stay was lovely. "

"Everything was perfect, very clean and spacious. Except for the fact that there was no slippers, I had to walk barefoot to go all the way to the pool. But everything else was available. my partner and I had an amazing stay and wish it was longer."

"Good property, spacious room and comfortable beds. We were in a King Suite which was comfortable but oddly laid out. Main light controls were in 402 but we were told 401 and our key only works for that door, so we had to stumble through to find them. Room overly hot. Keys stopped working when we came in at 130am, had to call night manager twice to get in our room. Breakfast - basic fare, bacon and pancakes were overcooked and hard. Worth the room rate but improvements could be made."

"The staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean and tidy, the room was cold, because the window was letting in draft and noisy whilst closed, the heater was under the window so wasn’t letting much heat in the room, because of the draft, the food and drink is quite pricey but tasty"

"Parkgate is a great place to stay for a day or two in Cardiff. Walking distance from Cardiff Market, Castle and high street. Great food options and shopping nearby. The staff was great and very helpful. The spa (which is a separate business located in the hotel) wasn’t our favorite but the hotel itself is great. Definitely recommend."
