"A very nice, clean, small room with a comfortable bed and choice of two chairs. There were some faint water stains on the ceiling but overall the decor was acceptable. The staff were uniformly lovely and helpful. A decent breakfast was on offer in the wood panelled dining room with views of the gorgeous gardens and the sea. A very pleasant stay."

"Fantastic location directly opposite the cathedral. As it's the old gatehouse, the stairs to the rooms take a bit of effort as there is no lift but you do get a real feeling of originality. We ate in the hotel and the food was excellent, as was the breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and helpful."

"We booked an overnight stay as having a girls weekend in Bath. I chose this hotel for the location, value and from previous reviews. Firstly the staff were all very warm, welcoming and professional. The hotel is a stones throw walking distance to the local bus stops ( bus goes straight through to Bath £3 pp each way) our bedroom was let's say a little dated as such and needed a little TLC but it was clean and tidy, basic necessities in place and spacious for a twin.
