"Definitely rustic! There is no air conditioning, so on days with little breeze you will want to close the shutters on the sunny side and be in the pool. There are two buildings separated by a covered patio, so plenty of privacy for couples. Our family of 9 was not at all crowded. The property is far enough from town that cell service was spotty at best. The only issue we faced was the internet was out (animal damage to the line!) and it took several days for the "cable guy" to get there....

It’s an old house which meant lots of uneven steps to and from the garden, this wasn’t an issue for us but worth bearing in mind if traveling with young children. "Overall great location close to many great Villages and things to do, one drawback was the closeness in the house closest to the master bedroom when noise levels were loud a few evenings. It was just a few evenings. The house has everything you need and more, great pool and even on the hottest days it seemed very cool. "We loved our stay at Fred's house. Fred is great with communication. He responds really quickly to my texts. His house is located at the base of the medieval village, about 3 minutes from the Roman bridge. It takes no time to get anywhere in Vaison from this house. My husband and I took trips to different places every day, but loved coming back to the house, sitting on the little balcony and watch all the action on the street. I loved the view as well."

The house is exactly as described - well situated, comfortable, and the roof top terrace is breathtaking. Joanna did a very thorough job of introducing us to the house and area and gave us a great lunch recommendation of Cafe Gaby in Lourmarin. We would love to go back one day - it is truly magificent."
