"Arrived for my one night stay here, and my key was ready for me at the front desk. Breakfast was delicious (waffles, bacon, eggs, fruits, deli meats/cheese, cereal, etc.). "I have stayed in 20+ hotels in Iceland. This guesthouse is a shining beacon above every place I have stayed in Iceland, Scotland, England and Germany. "Adorable Inn, great location between Glacier Bay and Reykjavik near the Black Sand Beach. We stayed two nights. I rode the one hour ride to Irafoss while my husband hiked the gorgeous countryside. Very mountainous and multiple trail options. I wish I had chosen the longer ride as the ponies famous gait, the Tölt, is as smooth as silk and their horses were fabulous. "Hótel ranga seems to be incredible for the northern lights but we stayed 2 nights and didn’t see them at all due to cloud cover. I think if you don’t see the northern lights then the hotel is ok but if the clouds are there, it loses all its USPs as we didn’t even get to go to the observatory. "We stayed on our last night in Iceland. The rooms are albeit old fashioned, for a 1 night stay, it's decent. There's a restaurant and the breakfast was nice. This is very close to all the great falls around that area and you can see northern lights right above the hotel. We saw northern lights in Vik and here on the second day. It was beautiful and they also have places you can scan and go to watch the Aurora. 2 hours from the international airport. "
