"We stayed here during some torrential tropical storm weather but we had one of the incredible rooms at La Mer, which allowed us to sit outside of our room and enjoy the storm. Highly recommend La Mer! Absolutely adorable beautiful room. We noticed that they started bringing the beach loungers in and tying them up WELL before the storm so that was quite an inconvenience for some folks. "Beautiful views of the harbour from the balcony. Decor of the room was modern industrial look that gives you the feel of a high-end hotel feel. Room had great amenities like plug points next to the bed & USB plug in lamp shade, good coffee machine, mini fridge, ironing board, umbrella etc Nice bath robes and complementary bathroom products, including shower cap. "This place was quite a surprise. We were in the back building by the water, and it was very quiet. Unlike many of the other places which were on the other side of the four-lane highway, this place was removed far enough that you did not hear any traffic. The breakfast was quite good and many options to choose from. The grounds are meticulous. Some of the reviews mentioned, loud air conditioners, and we did not find that to be the case at all. I would come back here in a heartbeat."

"This is a very interesting property. We stayed in one of the bungalows though there are other types of rooms available. It is an old property, but recently refurbished/renovated. The room was small but well appointed and had a nice bathroom with a tiled walk-in shower. There is a nice full service outdoor bar adjacent to the kitchen area. " Very nice but paying for location, that is fine . Beach was very nice relaxing and clean property was clean . Weather gorgeous, room was loud we were on ground floor . Air conditioning was to cold when running but to warm when off but this is common . Overall very nice hotel !!"

"This was my 1st time at this property and I can’t say enough good things. Our room had a balcony facing the port so we got to see the cruise ships coming and going. We also were able to see every sunset without leaving our room. The property is very clean and well maintained. We had an excellent breakfast at the Hot Tin Roof restaurant overlooking the pool, ocean and Sun Set Key. We will definitely be back. "
