"Great unit and staff. Staff was very accommodating. We had the staff do laundry for us and for $10 US they dis a large garbage bag, folded and hung the clothes. Super impressed. The hills are a lot but not impossible. Ubers from the main areas run $4-$6. "

"Stunning location… A little bit difficult to get to. Would be nice if there were better driving directions. But once we got there, it was worth the drive up the dirt road. Would definitely return to this property for another another stay!! Theresa was very helpful & pleasant. "

"Clean, authentic feeling, and a well thought out design. Pool doesn't get much sun in the morning or late afternoon so did not get as much usage out of it as we thought, but still a very nice space to have available. The complex is quiet and calm.Really great stay, would come back again and will recommend to friends."

"Came here with a group of 9 friends. The suites and the view from the suites were absolutely incredible - much better than the pictures seem. The resort is very beautiful and they have an on-site restaurant with a great menu. Staff were all very friendly and responsive to any requests. The one thing guests should be prepared for is to climb a lot of stairs (they have an elevator, but in most instances, you have to climb steps to access it and it didn’t always work). Probably wouldn’t recommend...

"Casita #3 was great- just what we were looking for. My husband and I stayed here over over the Thanksgiving holiday for a short getaway to the sun. The place was exactly what it looked like online. Nice small place to hang out, Small kitchenette, and a big bedroom. The bathroom was great, open air windows made it feel like you were showering outdoors. "Our stay at Barceló Puerto Vallarta was excellent. Do not believe the negative reviews. My husband and I have stayed at ultra luxury resorts and we were just as happy here. Staff went out of their way. Rooms and grounds were impeccable. Views from every room of the ocean. Food was great. We would stay again in a heartbeat. "

Playa Los Arcos Hotel Beach Resort & Spa

Mother daughter getaway

"We had a great getaway at Playa Los Arcos. The style of the hotel is beautiful and makes you feel like you’ve escaped. Our room was not large but it was very comfortable. Having the sink separate from the rest of the bathroom was nice for getting ready. The hotel is situated right in the heart of downtown with a nice piece of beachfront. It was easy to walk everywhere and very safe. We met so many people who come to the hotel year after year and we know why. The size of the hotel is on the smaller side but felt boutique-ey. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our meals at the buffet. It was quite small if you are used to big resorts but there was always something yummy, new and fresh. We ate at the a la carte restaurant one evening and had a lovely dinner. One small thing I would suggest to make the rooms more comfortable would be to add a full length mirror in each room. Our room backed onto the street and was a bit noisy in the evening but it always stopped around 11 and didn’t cause us any issues. "
