"This is a family oriented resort so it is great for families. If you’re a couple that like to be out the way it is great for you too. The only thing that frightened me was the 3mi road getting to the property. Potholes are huge so if you’re not used to driving on roads like that, don’t drive. There is nothing walking distance so you’ll have to uber/taxi to wherever you like. I have to give the hugest shout out to the bellman Diego. From arrival to departure and everything in between, he is the epitome of guest service excellence. He took some REALLY GREAT photos of my fiancé and I that we are getting framed. Everett in dining hall in the lobby was great too ! He poured us drinks until the drinks started drinking us. Oscar helped me to set up excursions and my ride back to the airport. My room was cleaned well by housekeeping but they did not replace wash cloths and towels and we had to wait 30 min to receive them. besides the housekeeping mishap, my stay was awesome and i thank you all for a great birthday "

"Booking with Royalton Splash through Expedia is key! Expedia has their own separate check-in (didn’t have to wait in the long line with everyone else). We had a separate bracelet that said Expedia so it gave us extra benefits similar to Diamond club without paying for Diamond club. We booked jacuzzi on terrace, which gave us our own butler (we had Lu who is awesome and goes above and beyond to help you at all times!) who made our reservations for us. I told her what time we usually eat dinner, she asked where we want to go, and boom reservation was made! She also contacted me before our trip and asked if I wanted her help with anything-she gave me the number for a safe and cheaper airport transfer than what I found online. The resort has people cleaning all day-so the bathrooms and sidewalks are spotless! Very clean resort! Events/shows every night (catered for kids-but not sure if that was because we were there on Christmas) My kids are 16 and 18 so they were a little old for the Christmas events, but there is bowling, trampoline park, and arcade for the older kids. My kids sat in our hot tub and watched the shows from our balcony 😊 During the day, there are pool events like water aerobics, fun races, water polo, etc. They have a wonderful gym with machines, yoga classes daily, other fitness classes daily like HIIT, Bootcamp, etc. They also have a spot for CrossFit. This is a great place I highly recommend! Booking through Expedia is the best way to go too! "

"If you want to slow down, this is the place for you. It is a bit removed from the little town of Puerto Morelos, but they do have a daily bike tour that takes you into town and of course it's an easy cab ride. The property is lovely and we had the room with a private pool / hot tub that we loved. All the pools were well heated since it wasn't super hot in January. The staff was all so awesome and accommodating. The activities staff was so great and hard working. We took advantage of the bike tour, water aerobics and a craft project - all included. Kiki and Gracia are wonderful. They also had games and books, etc. There were other activities too but some just don't have enough people at times. I think only 4 showed up for the Pickleball tournament. We also really enjoyed paining pottery for a small added charge. The food is only OK but the little restaurants are nice and it was just so convenient. We didn't want to take any risks with getting sick so we just ate at the resort. We probably enjoyed Mexican night and Italian night the most. The beach is a bit rocky and not as swimmable as you'd like but if you walk down toward the other resorts, it gets calmer and it's technically a public beach so you can swim wherever you want. You just probably can't take chairs at other places. We also did a short presentation at the hotel and got a free trip to the Dolphin experience within walking distance. Our kids absolutely loved that. "

"We enjoyed our stay at Margarittaville. The facility and rooms are immaculate. It is a smaller resort but it was perfect for our 4 night stay. There is no beach but who needs a beach! There are are several different pool areas and depending on whether you desire a quieter area to sunbathe or the 5 o’clock somewhere pool which has music, liveliness, and fun activities. The food was very good and the service was superb. We would love to give a special shoutout to Angel and Mariel (Activity Specialists) who made all activities exciting. The day bartender at The Salted Rim, Angel, is the very best. I found myself wandering from the pool to the inside Salted Rim bar to get the best of the best drinks. The liquor is better and Angel made my drinks to specification. All in all, this was a super place to vacation and the price was less expensive than all other similar resorts."
