"Steps from the center of town and only minutes from the ferry. The room was very clean and everything worked correctly. Each of the staff I met were friendly and really seemed interested in making sure I had all I needed for my stay. Will definitely stay afain!"

"extremely comfortable bed and pillows, room was clean, had small refrigerator but missed not having a coffee maker in the room, missed a Days Inn hotel not having a complementary breakfast although it must have offered it at one time as there was an area still set up for it that had tables with chairs stacked on top of them, was caught off guard when told an additional security deposit would be charged which was not mentioned during the hotels.com reservation and it does not get returned for 2-5...

Charming home close to beach with fast WiFi & washer/dryer - dog-friendly

A home that lives up to its pictures!

"It was as cute as it looked on-line and gave us a great space for hanging out and enjoying each other's company. That said, I would recommend that you rent this with loved ones as privacy is limited because of the indoor design. With no insulation or dry wall every noise is heard throughout the house! Other nice surprises: new AC units (very quiet), very comfortable beds, and an outdoor shower with good light. The street is very quiet. I was surprised that basic kitchen supplies weren't included (foil, Saran Wrap, basic seasonings, etc). Easy enough to fix, but having such a short stay, I would have brought these things along with me if I new they wouldn't be there. The property manager was very responsive with our two little problems (no frying pans without chipped teflon and the grill was dirty). Overall a great stay and we would definitely consider renting again."

"This property is steps away from the ferry, steps away from the beach and steps away from food, drinks and music. We had a great time. Cassie greeted us and made sure we had everything we needed!!!! She also went out of her way to make my daughters 21st birthday special. Highly recommend this property."

Steps from the Bay

"The owner Diane met me at the ferry and was as helpful and friendly as she had been from my first inquiry. She walked me to the cottage which I found to be very clean and beautifully decorated. Nothing was dusty or worn. The beds are firm and comfortable with top quality linens. She even supplied dish soap and a new scrubber. I had brought my own in case needed. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and herbs for cooks like me. Diane was always easy to reach and pleasant to deal with. When the TV died she immediately the next day had a new one brought over and installed without delay or excuses. The kitchen appliances were clean and worked well, including a coffee grinder! I usually have to bring mine out. The deck furniture was in good condition with clean comfortable cushions. Breakfast outside with the birds was relaxing. The cottage is small and cozy. It was fine for me as a single guest and had everything I needed. Diane couldn’t have been a better host. I’m looking forward to going back next summer. "

"We stayed one night and this hotel was awesome. First, they allow a 11:30 am check in which is rare. We were visiting friends so we dropped bags off and came back late night but it was convenient be able to do so. The room was immaculate and even though the bathrooms are shared, you get the full bathroom to yourself when you use it. The location is great just outside the ferry terminal. It’s very loud at night but we brought earplugs. Most importantly, staff are very friendly and held on to our bags until 2 pm the next day. They also offer coffee, fruits and pastry bites which was unexpected. In conclusion, well worth the money and I highly recommend. "

Designer beach cottage & studio with bikes, outdoor shower, deck - walk to beach

Great location, but lackluster Vacasa

"Stayed here for a girls trip. We were a group of 11. Most of the beds are doubles so probably can’t actually sleep 12 unless you’re a kid or on the smaller side. The way the beds are arranged requires one person to crawl over the other to get out of bed since they’re pushed up against the wall. (Not a dealbreaker but something to consider for guest comfort). As others have mentioned, feels bigger than it looks in the photos. The bathrooms were ok. To break it down: there’s 1 half bath indoors, 1 full bath indoors, and 1 toilet in a shed with the laundry machine. Reason for Lowe rating is Vacasa who are kind of the worst. Not sure I’ve ever had a good Vacasa experience, so wasn’t all that surprised that my stay here was more of the same. Half the rooms didn’t have pillowcases on the bed and none anywhere in the house. We had to call them late at night to get them and their response was, “if you checked in last night, why are you just calling about it now?” Nice, Vacasa. For the price I would have expected pretty excellent host management, but communication was next to non-existent. But assuming you have no issues, you won’t need to contact them anyways Great location near lots of restaurants. More guidance on ferry details would’ve been helpful."

Bay-view apartment with deck, grill, enclosed porch, full kitchen, & WiFi

Great location on the bay & close to ferry

"Loved the location. Close to ferry & on the bay. Cute & rustic. When we arrived one of the front door window panes closest to the door handle was broken. Anyone could put a hand through and open the door. This made us feel unsafe. We contacted Vacasa, but nothing was done about it. Also, there was no air conditioner, so it could be stuffy on a hot day. There is a spiral staircase that leads up to the bedrooms, elderly or disabled would have a difficult time negotiating them. Coffee pot could be larger, only serves 2cups. The bathroom is really small & there is no place to leave toiletries, so we kept them on the kitchen table. The owner arrived after our first day & he stays in the front of the townhouse. No problem, although their door is adjacent to the outside deck that we sat on, so it was a little uncomfortable. Not sure I would rent again due to no air, no television, & small bathroom/shower, but loved the location. I spent most of my time sitting outside."

Excellent location and beautiful property

"Wonderful 2nd time staying at this location. Easy walk to the beach and great restaurants in ocean bay park. Biggest issue was not having anyone to text with questions. At other properties we have stayed we could contact the owners- Vacasa didn’t allow for this here. When the codes given to us didn’t unlock the bicycles we needed, it took a long time to get a hold of someone and the people who texted back gave generic answers and couldn’t help. They gave us the same code we had already received. So we never got unlock any bicycles to ride around fire island. Other than that it is a great house!"
