"La Fenice was a perfect example of a traditional tuscan hideaway with nothing but hills and trees to gaze upon. The villa was spacious enough for us all - two families or four with kids under 12 and the grandparents! "A very good experience overall. House had plenty of room and quite spacious for the family. Easy access to nearby restaurants and highways. Enough dishes, glasses and utensils. All appliances worked well. Eduardo was a pleasant host and very accommodating to all our needs. Fans came in handy for air circulation on hot summer nights. Outside patio furniture could use some TLC. Pool was refreshing but quite aways from the house but had spectacular views of sunsets."

"We enjoyed a lovely week staying at Villa Costa Piccola. Leonella was very helpful with any queries we had both before and during our stay, and made us a lovely tiramisu on arrival which the whole family enjoyed. Lots of places to explore locally (we visited Montepulciano, Arezzo, Assisi and Gubbio). We also spent a couple of days at the villa enjoying the pool and the peace and quiet. Villa was spotless and well equipped. Supermarkets in Umbertide were easy to get to for any supplies needed....

"John & Dianne were utterly lovely and made every effort for us. The listing is very clear and if you're looking for peace and quiet in a serene valley, you couldn't do better. The track should be driven with care but after the first time accompanied by John, it's not too bad. I wouldn't bring a car with low clearance though.
