"Convenient hotel with on-site parking for ¥500. Easily walk-able to local restaurants, grocery stores, etc.
Note that certain amenities are not included (razors, toothbrush) so bringing one is important. Also, though a non-smoking room was reserved, I was given a smoking room, so make sure you check upon check-in."
"It was the only hotel which had a room continuesly for a two week stay in Saijo.
The hotel is quite old, but staff is friendly and breakfast quite good. About 800m from Seijo train station."
"Nice mountain resort hotel with a view of the lake. Check in was easy and room was large. We had half board - food was good but probably due to communication problem, we were not served Japanese-style dinner like the local tourists. However breakfast was Japanese. There was a nice onsen too. There was a slight problem in the morning when water was cut off, but it was restored just before check out. The owner was very apologetic and waive the my charges for sake drink which I ordered during...
"Lovely hotel with phenomenal multi course Japanese breakfast and dinner. We used it now twice while visiting Rabbit Island. Would highly recommend it. "
"As much as I'd like to recommend staying here on your trip to bunny island, I cannot. The host did provide details for self check-in, but the property is in various states of disrepair. The AC is left off during the summer, so when we entered, it was hot and humid. The bathroom was left off as well and had accumulated mold. It smelled atrocious to the point we were pretty sure it would be a hazard to use it. I don't expect to incur any penalties, but the host also had many fee addendums...
"Place was very clean and the friendly staff were attentive to my requests. New towels and prouducts were replaced each day as well as the beddings .The breakfast options were delicious. Anyone visiting Mihara should definitely book their stay here."
"Business man’s hotel I suppose. Right across from Mihara Station. Small room but well laid out and spotless. Young man at desk was very jolly and hospitable on my arrival. No view, wall of another building but it was dark when I got there and sleep was all I craved. Desk stored my bags for me after check out as I’d planned to visit Buttsuji Temple but I missed the early bus and couldn’t wait till afternoon for the next so I took a walk down to the port. Ferry to nearby islands in the Seto Island...

"Stay was fantastic! Beautiful view of the water, and great location. This was the largest room (of four) we stayed in during this trip to Japan, and was by far the most comfortable. Even the bathroom was (while not huge) much bigger than the other hotels. Restaurant was very good, with very friendly staff. Breakfast at this hotel was also excellent, and by far the best of all the hotels we stayed at on this trip. It had many great Japanese breakfast options, and made a solid attempt at a western style breakfast -better than any other hotel we stayed at during this stay (i.e. actual scrambled eggs instead of the typical runny eggs we found everywhere else). Only complaint, the in-room thermostats do not work. The hotel acknowledged this in a little write-up in the room. So we were stuck with either having the airflow on or off, and receive whatever temperature air the central system decides to push out, which was too warm during our stay, and we had no way to cool the room down. Also, the bathroom fan is absolutely ineffective, so after the two of us had showers, the room was uncomfortably humid for quite a while. The large window was dripping with condensation (they should include a dehumidifier). The window seemed to be able to open (would have helped a lot) but was locked, so we couldn't open it. They also have a small bicycle storage area in the hotel, which was great. We only stayed two nights here, but on our next trip, we will absolutely stay again!"

"Professional and courteous service. Room spacious and amenities good. Choice of restaurants was great and the Japanese food was delicious. The only drawback was the heating system in the room which was permanently set at “too warm” and could not be adjusted. "
