"As an older lady who's stayed at everything from air bnbs and motels to fine resorts in Hawaii and castles in Europe, I'd like to offer a bit of advice to any newbie travelers out there. Lodging reviews are very subjective. The core of each one stems from personal perspectives and what is important to the reviewer. There are one-star and five-star reviews volleying back and forth, back-to-back, making it tricky to figure out what's accurate! Well, they are all accurate in the minds of their authors, so you have to decide what's important to YOU. My best advice is to take common complaints into consideration, like mold or odors in hallways. Things that have built up over time and aren't strictly based on a particular room. Then, begin by sorting the date of visit. Choose the "most recent" or "newest" option, because the hotel ratings from 4 years ago don't really matter anymore, even if they are the most helpful. Next, try to look beyond issues that are based on a date, a single room or staff member. Variables that can drastically affect a stay, like bad weather, a special event, a city-wide power outage, several housekeepers out sick, or a particular front desk worker having a bad day, are random experiences. You're either lucky to get a room next to quiet neighbors, or unlucky to stay during a boy scout jamboree. Your room may have been cleaned by the best housekeeper in the business, or may have accidentally been forgotten altogether. So, try to weed out the chronic problem"

"We stayed for what we thought was going to be one night due to bad road conditions but ended up staying the whole weekend! Crystal, the manager, was absolutely fantastic! They struggled with housekeeping staff and Crystal and the rest of the employees went above and beyond to clean the rooms themselves to accommodate the larger than anticipated number of guests staying that weekend. Due to understaffing of the housekeeping staff we had a very long wait to check in. However, Crystal the manager handled everything with such professionalism and really went above and beyond by comping us our stay and upgrading us to a king suite. She took a bad situation of understaffing and made it more than right by extending a free night’s stay to all of us that were waiting to check in. Now that’s fantastic management skills! The hotel was super clean and the room was great! We stayed in a king suite with a jacuzzi tub and it was fantastic! Huge room with large bathroom, living room area and separate room with a bed. It was just what we needed to be able to relax and reconnect. The staff here really stepped up and had all hands on deck helping out from cleaning rooms, serving breakfast, managing the front desk, and clearing the heavy snow. You could tell that Crystal’s management and leadership was top notch! Breakfast was excellent as always! They even had a nice little assortment of treats and goodies to put on your pancakes. I’m sure the kids loved it! We will stay again! "

"This place is amazing! We did a girls weekend, and wine tasting color tour on the golf carts. We had the best time. A lot of people seen our pictures and asked for the information for your resort. We will definitely be back! "
