"The Hotel 1928 was a beautiful hotel and very nice staff, but the location and area around the hotel was not very good and not sure if it was very safe area at night. We were going to walk to the Magnolia Market from the hotel, but it did not seem safe. There were security bars on most buildings and establishments around the hotel. "

"Nice location, plenty of dining and shopping within walking distance. We walked to silos which was several blocks in chilly weather, and it wasn't bad. A nice farmers market on Sat morning just a few blocks away. Only complaint was the room next to us was smoking marijuana and it came through the vents into our room and gave us headaches! People are inconsiderate. We told the hotel as we checked out so unsure what they could have done if we had asked. Otherwise, a pleasant 3 night stay. "

When we first checked in, we were assigned a room that had a bad odour and was very cold as the window was wide open as it appeared the housekeeping staff was trying to air it out. The room also had tear in the carpet that the front desk staff didn’t seem to know about but thankfully they moved us to a much better room. Breakfast was good but staff member had the habit of closing things down before closing time, and one morning she was inconveniently...
