"This is a piece of heaven. My husband and I were traveling with our dogs and visiting the state and national parks. Our room was big and we had all we needed. The grounds were peaceful and I enjoyed walking the dogs here. The Thirsty Goat bar and the Candelaria restaurant were so good. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We were hopeful to check in early, but our room was not ready until 6pm. That was the only inconvenience. We can’t wait to stay here again!"

"This is a combination RV Park and small hotel. Our room was nicely decored in a southwestern style. The bathroom had a great waterfall shower. The grounds were well maintained (desert style). The owner was very friendly and accommodating. It's located on the main road, quite close to Big Bend National Park, in a quiet area beyond the more touristy parts of Terlingua. The check-in process is contactless and worked smoothly. "

"When I was planning my trip to Terlingua, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I found so many unique places to stay. After some research, I chose Ten Bits because of its rustic, Western-themed property. As I drove through the town, I passed other places I had considered, and I was 100% satisfied with my choice. en Bits is situated just off the highway, down a private road, which adds to the sense of isolation and tranquility. While you're just a short drive away from the heart of Terlingua, staying at Ten Bits feels like being in your own private oasis. The property is peaceful and quiet, offering an uninterrupted view of the desert landscape. The lack of nearby traffic and town hustle was the ideal setting for a desert getaway. We stayed in the “Gun Shop” room, which had a private bathroom, small fridge, and microwave. The weather was chilly during our visit, but the room’s wall unit kept it cozy. Sis welcomed us and encouraged us to explore the property. We enjoyed a sunset drive around the land, relishing the freedom to roam without worrying about trespassing. Next year, we're planning to return with family, as we now know which rooms are close together. In comparison to other places we considered, most were closer to town, had big windows facing the street, shared bathrooms, or views of the highway. Ten Bits provided exactly what we wanted: isolation with the luxury of a private bathroom and stunning views. It was the perfect desert retreat, and I can’t wait to return."

"We had a really great time staying at this property. Although there are some quirks, it is fully explained on the listing and in the communications. We used to be RVers so we understand having to adjust to different situations. The only thing I would note is that if you have the room heater on, plus the water heater and then try to use the microwave, you might trip the breaker. The cabin is decorated really nice and the outside porches and firepit are great. It always takes a while to get used to a different bed, especially a bouncy one, but we did! We loved our stay and would do it again."

"This property is perfect. Has a private observatory with retractable roof for each cabin. Smart telescope provided awesome photos. Close to restaurant and gas and groceries. No need to stock up before you come. Shop local and support small businesses. "

"Our family of 5 had a great stay at Lajitas House. The property was exactly as listed and contained everything we needed for a great trip to Big Bend. The views from the kitchen table each morning and the fire pit for stargazing each night were some of our favorite parts about the house. Communication was great and we had no problems during our stay."
