"Historic hotel in a great location for exploring the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel is undergoing a renovation, everything was neat and tidy. Nice lobby with a warm fire going. Do it yourself continental breakfast had a good variety. "

"Easy access just off CA-108 highway, just a few minutes away from Dodge Ridge ski resort. Free parking right outside the entrance. Inside the front entrance, the check-in area is not well marked. Turn left, go through the restaurant and a small registration window is found just past the bar. After check-in, the staff member led us out through the bar/restaurant downstairs through the key-access area to our spacious room. No fridge or microwave, and beds had older, somewhat noisy mattress...

"Conveniently located in downtown Sonora. Walking distance to almost about anywhere. Hotel offered a nice, simple warm breakfast. Rooms were nicely decorated. Bed was comfortable. Only downside of our room is that we were located right next to the smoking area. It wasn't horrible as not too much smoke came inside our room. "

"The property was clean and I was happy with the full breakfast included. The room was very comfortable, clean and the bed was great. I slept well and overall it was a good stay and good value. Even though this location is a very quiet small town, it is disappointing that entry to the hallways are not secure. All doors are accessible to anyone. In addition, they seemed to keep the doors to the buildings open all the time and when people are outside smoking, the cigarette smoke smell comes into...

I felt he really enjoyed his job and cared about making guest happy. It is not like that everywhere so Thank you to Travel Lodge and employees!"
