The location was absolutely perfect, so close to downtown Highlands! I would % come stay here again and would highly recommend!!"

"Beautiful home. When we arrived on Friday evening it was difficult to see as it was dark. Once you get in the first time you know what to expext. Driveway is small for our 3500 Chevy. There was snow on driveway so it was hard to tell what you needed to do at dark. Everything else was perfect."

We had never been to the Carolinas so we very much appreciated the welcome book filled with valuable information about places to eat and fun outdoor activities! Everything was clean and cozy. The outdoor water feature had the most peaceful sound and was beautiful to look at. We plan to return again this summer and will definitely try to rent the same cottage again! "

"My sister, nephew and I had a very enjoyable time in the Author’s Cabin. The only drawback is that we were on a main road and traffic in the am was a distraction. The fireplace is very cozy and really heats the entire cabin. I would recommend it to anyone!"

"The area was good as it was close to town and right by the creek that my son liked skipping rocks and fishing. However, the inside was outdated and had a musty smell. The comforters smelt musty and we needed to wash them. Bathroom sink was slow to drain. We found a few live spider and my wife/son hate spiders. One of the smoke alarms had low battery and started chirping, luckily it started on the morning and not at night when we were sleeping. The heater in the living room didn’t turn on...

"This cottage is in a convenient location to Cataloochee and Waynesville and only 35 minutes to Asheville. The cottage is cozy and the large porch inviting with the hot tub and rocking chairs! It's also well stocked with anything you may need in the kitchen during your stay. The owners are very responsive and check-in and check-out are a breeze. We're definitely staying here again when we visit next ski season! Thanks for a great stay! "
