"The Iowa House is closing soon and it's obvious that there has been reinvestment into the property in quite some time. Everything about the hotel seems to be outdated and is in need for updating or repair -- which obviously isn't going to happen with the hotel closing. So, with that, the service is excellent and the location is ideal. The $300ish dollars a night seems fair considering market alternatives. Just know that the place is pretty worn down. "

"Few days ago I paid $210/night plus $50 valet parking in a “fancy” hotel in Indianapolis, what a waste of money. For $63 in American Motor Inn I got the same bed size and comfort and much better sleep. The location is safe, quiet and they have parking. The young man at the reception is kind and friendly. Great customer service. Rock Island is a very beautiful place and in few minutes drive you can visit Davenport, Iowa. We’re definitely recommend this motel and we’re planning on coming back...

"We booked a different location but it was shut down a few days before arrival. This was the only hotel available after waiting 5 hours for hotel.com to relocate us. It was awful. The only positive was the front desk girl was really nice, owner not so much. We had 4 rooms, 1 had bugs, 1 had a non working toilet, 1 the tv didnt work and there was 3 different shades of brown rings in the toilet.
