"The property, as a whole, was pretty nice. The mattresses for the trundles looked a bit worn. The mattresses on the bottom bunk beds may need to be replaced as well. The pool table was nice. The kitchen was very sufficient, even though we had to turn the oven up higher to cook. Could not turn the volume up on the TV in the pool table room. And the bar refrigerator kept leaking water in the bottom of it. All-in-all, the family enjoyed it and would stay there again."

"House was even prettier in person. Location is right down the street from the center of Duck and we biked with our kids (2-7yo) to Ice Cream and town events. The beach is a 5 minute, very easy walk. Stairs are a little tricky for older dogs, but house was very clean and we were grateful to be able to bring our pup. "We very much enjoyed this house. Most important to us is that the house be clean and it was.It had everything we needed and the pool table was a plus. Lots of fun! I have only one complaint- you can’t get through a 10 minute shower without running out of hot water. A house with 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms obviously needs a larger hot water heater."

"The property was great. Plenty of room, nice furnishings, comfortable beds, and a very nice kitchen that was stocked well. We enjoyed the pool very much, and the walk to the beach was quick. The only issue I had was that the glass tables were not wiped down very well, and the counter behind the kitchen table was very dusty. Everything else was great. The owner is very kind and full of information about the area and we listened to his suggestions for dining out and were happy with those choices....

"The house is in a lovely and quiet neighborhood in Duck and we walked to the beach frequently. Views of ocean and Sound from tower were terrific. The interior of the house was very clean and the pool, spa, deck and patio were great amenities. There were only a few downsides: 1. "We stayed here for a girls trip. The host was amazing! She responded fast and answered all my questions! The house was super cute, clean and plenty of space. Close walk to the beach or there was parking at the end by the beach. Host supplies towels, sheets, soaps, laundry supplies , and a few snacks. We are hoping to come back for another girls trip! "

"Enough room for 11 people. Well keep, nice location. Large kitchen and room for all to eat in comfort. Walking distance to beach. One draw back was one road in and out with some traffic during high travel days usually on weekend with people check-in to house. Nice and well keep pool and hot tub."

The pool person left a note that she had to interrupt her service and would return to complete work shortly. That was Saturday. We called and left a message without response. On Tuesday, we contacted VRBO and by Wednesday the pool had been cleaned and prepared for use. Still, this was one of the better homes we rented at the Outer Banks."
