"Riu was a beautiful hotel coming into the lobby, and the amenities were great! The rooms could use some updating and hopefully one update is a exhaust fan in the bathrooms, and a fresh coat of paint in the rooms and some on the exterior. The staff was amazing, very attentive and kind, shout out to Hermes in the Japanese resturant, who made our experience quite nice. I enjoyed my stay and will be returning again, and stay a little longer. There is a nice although humid strip mall across the street, and a pharmacy should have forgotten something from home. "

"This is an excellent choice for a stay in the CENTRO historico. The staff was great and very responsive to our needs and requests. The pillows were uncomfortable for my neck and there was no option to get something that worked better for me. I asked but received no options. The other minor issue was the bathroom sink, which drained slowly. We reported this as well but it was still drains slowly when we left. It is a very old hotel but is in really nice condition. We will definitely stay here again, the next time we are in Guadalajara!"

"The staff were amazing! Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. Food was amazing too. The resort is located in such a perfect location. There is a mall, pharmacy, convenience store, etc all closeby! There are so many activities to do everyday. We loved the aqua zumba especially. I recommend this resort to any first time visitors to Cancun. "
