"Had a lovely stay as a couple at Dom Jose. The hotel is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had a standard room which was quite small but sufficient. Breakfast was very nice. "Great location only a few mins walk from all the things in Faro you’d want to see and the marina and old town. The room was clean and comfortable although the floors were a little worn. The bed was comfortable and the window opened which was good as the air conditioning is turned off in the winter, which is normal but I find this slightly annoying - not everyone has the same climate comfort. I complained, the front desk told me my room was not supposed to have the river view. I have never been in a hotel where we are required to wear a swim-cap to get into a Jacuzzi. We do not swim in a jacuzzi, our head does not get into the water in the jacuzzi and yet, we are required to pay for a swim...
