"Stayed here while going to VIR. Bed was a bit soft. Rooms were clean. Bathroom door hinges were coming out of the frame and door couldn’t close —not something housekeeping would notice. Shower frame either was dirty or rusty, but we didn’t mind. For a racer, it was great. For someone more delicate, it might have been a problem."

"Stayed here for race weekend in Martinsville. Only about a 30-40 minute drive from the track from here. Hotel had everything that we needed. Had a great ice machine so that we didn’t have to purchase ice elsewhere before the race. Some other reviews in the past said this place was in not great condition, but I did not experience that. "The check-in person (wish I could remember his name!!) and Mary in the breakfast area were excellent! So friendly and personable! Our room was not all that clean, but I wonder if it’s just that everything is old. The kitchen Cora chair was stained and nasty! I would recommend that it be discarded. The lobby was bright and clean, though. Perhaps renovations are going on? I would hope so. We will stay again, but this hotel is not up to the standards we usually see from Hampton Inn."
