If you are looking for a small, intimate island with awesome diving and a beautiful relaxed atmosphere, come to the tiny beautiful island of Grand Turk.
The pure white beach is just a few barefoot steps away and a mindblowing sunset visits every day.
Some people come to Grand Turk for the world-class SCUBA diving (I did), others for the superb fishing, others just to relax and enjoy the island life, untroubled in the sun.
Blue Breeze was built as both a vacation rental and a permanent residence, so it has a full kitchen and all the conveniences you would expect in a home. It was built new from the ground up in 2014, but the architecture owes much to the traditional architecture of the Islands.
The wraparound porch is fully screened from the front to the back, so dinner or an evening cocktail outdoors can be fully enjoyed.
A cooling breeze keeps the house very comfortable most of the time, but there are ceiling fans and air conditioning throughout, so there is always refuge from the afternoon heat.
The master bedroom has a king bed, and the living room has a futon couch, which folds out to a queen size bed. The house sleeps four people comfortably.
Two bikes are available to explore this wonderful small island.
Coffee is available 3 ways - drip, french press, and espresso.
TO GET HERE:
Grand Turk is small and precious, and it is a very different place from Providenciales. You need to take a short local flight (about 20 minutes) to get here.
Take a major air carrier to get to Providenciales (PLS) from North America. Then take a local airline to get from PLS to Grand Turk (GDT). The local airlines are Intercaribbean Airways and Caicos Express Airways. The local flights are booked directly through the airline websites.
