"Me and my husband (and 10 month old) stayed here when we went to see Amicalola Falls. Lovely home! So many details—paper towels, coffee, baby gate. I appreciated the keyboard and french press. We couldn’t build a fire outdoors because of a burn ban but the gas logs were super cozy. We decided not to use the fireplace near the hot tub but if we come that way again, maybe next time! I usually bring my water pitcher filter but with the delicious spring water I didn’t have to. "

"What was planned as a relaxing getaway in the mountains for myself, my husband, and our two teen daughters, ended up being a “grin and bear it“ situation. The upstairs shower did not work and worse, there was no hot water to the entire house! The gas tank that you are required to disconnect from the grill and move through the inside of the house to the fire table and connect it was not enough to make the fire table work as the ignition is broken. The dishwasher, even after being run three times, washed nothing. There is no working lock on the back porch sliding door, so we needed to put a fire poker in the track to ensure it would not open. The house was filthy, with dead insects, acorns from rodents, Balls of hair, garbage, etc. Dishes and pans needed to be washed before use. In freezing water. The property manager does respond to text, but when so many problems arise, they take their time. The first day we were told all day and evening that a “work order“ would be made. What that meant for us I have no idea as the next day I heard that all day as well Before I finally got a quick “we are sorry” and another offer for a work order to be made. At that point, we requested the work be done the next day after we left as we only had one day to try to relax. Lights were burned out everywhere, and the outside is completely dark With a treacherous walk for any pets you might bring. We chose this place for somewhat of a “glamping” experience, but we would not return."

"Our family of nine had an amazing time at Bear Ridge Lodge. Randy and Becky were welcoming and accommodating in every way. Our kids and grandkids loved walking the goats wirh Randy as well as being with the ducks and chickens. They also enjoyed the paddle boat and kayak. The king size beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We also had an unlimited supply of firewood for the wonderful fireplace which was especially appreciated by Nana."

Perfectly appointed, excellent fireplace (we kept it going!) and lovely screened back porch to listen to the creek! Upstairs suite was roomy and comfortable, downstairs also featured a nice den! Couldn't recommend enough! **But be aware if you're travelling with a pet like we did - the property management company tacks on an EXTRA 150 pet fee...AFTER you pay your VRBO invoice, thinking it's all included.
