We would have visited local attractions, but came when all the stores were closed during covid 19. We had the resort to ourselves and spent most of the time relaxing, and walking the grounds and surrounding area. Very peaceful - just what we wanted
We went to both the Kawartha Country Winery and the Whetung Ojibwa Centre offers a spectacular collection of Native crafts as well as Fine Art, Jewelry, Moccasins, Leather Work, Sculptures.
Surprised to find some of the best Chinese food I have ever had at the Cody Inn in Buckhorn. I grew up here but did not know of that Hidden Gem
Buckhorn is a small 'village' with the most nesaccary shops and dining opportunities, nothing else
