"The hotel birke is a beautiful hotel in many ways, absolutely 5 star reception area, bar and restaurant. Beautiful furnishings, service and lovely and cosy in the winter with open fire in these shared areas. I had a cosy garret room which was lovely in a lot of ways except for the carpet, which was really very very stained with drops and brown marks, it really needs replacing or a thorough steam clean and was off putting, i did not want to walk on it as it did not feel clean the sheets and...

"Grumpy staff, not willing to help and not even trying to speak another language but german. Very little info in english or other languages. Horrible wi-fi, and you constantly have to log on to hotspot. Suggestions: -Open some ceiling windows in djungelland and the restaurant "street", the heat is too much! -Maximum 3 hours in the pool area? Come on!
