"Jim’s cabin is built with love and everything inside is functional. We enjoyed our getaway. The cabin was as described. It was safe and complete silence in the evenings. We enjoyed hanging on the porch for sunsets and star gazing. Incredible. We didn’t have cell signal (kinda the point) but his wifi was great when we needed it. He was very responsive to our questions! Really enjoyed our stay! "

"The casita was wonderful for our family. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette allowed us to eat some meals there. The only thing lacking was the coffee. The pictures show a Keurig coffee maker, so I came prepared with coffee pods, but there actually was not a Keurig. There was a small coffee maker, but there were no filters for it. I would've brought filters and coffee for it if I'd known. We were able to buy the tiny filters that fit it and some ground coffee at the grocery store. We...

"We came for 5 nights to celebrate a birthday and had everything we needed. We adventured out each day to a different nearby site or town. The bed is very comfortable—sheets, comforter and pillows. Great shower and soaps and plenty of towels. We used the TV and front porch and didn’t even need the AC at night much. No issues whatsoever. Thank you! "

"The Desert Quail Oasis was just that... a great spot to relax after hiking and exploring in Big Bend National Park. We loved sitting on the porch watching a lightening storm in the distance as well as the lovely mountains all around. After a much needed rain, it was fun to see a covey of desert quail running around the property! The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Our only complaint is that the water doesn't smell very good. Water is such an issue in this desert environment....
