"The place is right next to Piazza San Michele. Lots of restaurants and shopping around. It’s an historic building. Room is beautiful and large. Bathroom is covered in beautiful mosaics. Note that there is no lift and that the rooms are distributed in two different storeys. "Hotel Calimala was a really cool hotel, very cool interior design, cool lobby bar, stylish neighborhood. We loved the room, although the bathroom was a little overwhelming with the tile and mirrors--that said it was a very nice bathroom. The location was convenient for walking to some of the main sites in Florence. The staff was very professional. The breakfast was excellent! My only complain is that the rooftop bar they advertise is not in this building. It's in a hotel around the corner. We did not know this until we went to the top floor in the elevator and only found more hotel rooms, the cleaning staff had to tell us that the rooftop was in another building. "
