"Was a 2 night trip. Breakfast included, very basic, only boiled eggs for a protein but it’s ok. Outside areas had roaches. Inside the room it was cleaner but not the floor, which was dirty and bathroom and the bed had hair. The armchair had white stains all over it, doesn’t seem that any efforts were made to clean it. Towels were clean. Nice that there was a separate kitchenette area in the room. The reception staff were nice and friendly. The hotel was quiet and I managed to get a good night...

"This is a great place to stay if you are going on a cruise. Our room was clean and was totally what we expected. The grounds and pool were nice. It was great to have a couple of restaurants within walking distance that had delicious food. The only downside was not having an elevator and 2 of the ice machines were out of service and when we went to the working ice machine, it was out of ice. "

"I reserved a balcony room and was given a 1st floor pool side room. The room was also an ADA room with no bathtub. If we had not arrived so late after 15 hours of travel I would have complained right then. Next to the Laundry room which apparently was getting remodeled with workers first thing in the morning. "

"This is my go to property in Galveston. I stay here several times a year. The price for value is very good. The parking lot is adjacent to a Golden Corral. The sea wall is just across the street. I will stay here again in the future."

"We really enjoyed our stay, even though it was rainy. Touring around the museum and the various train cars was super fun. The grandkids (ages 4, 6, 7, 9) were over the moon with this 'surprise' overnight stay before we headed to our cruise. The staff were terrific. The pullman car was awesome. We knew it wouldn't be a spotless, newly built hotel room, but this made it all the more exciting to be in a venue from days gone past."

"Really good restaurants in the area. Benno’s and Saltgrass have very good food. The seafood platter at Bennos is amazing. I’ve stayed here multiple times now and always get coffee but no coffee maker. The room overall was nice….top floor with an ocean view."
